This temporary vehicle ban is to ensure traffic order during the 46 th anniversary of city name change from Saigon – Gia Dinh to Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 – July 2, 2022) and the events to honor the role of family in social life in HCMC. These activities will be held on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in District 1. Therefore, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on June 30 and July 1-2, all vehicles are temporarily banned on this street. Vo Sy Nhan, general director of office space provider Onehub Saigon Bund, said though the park has been making efforts to help, his company’s project there has been slow to make a start. It was approved in 2014, but has been stymied by administrative bottlenecks, he said. For instance, approval for its land planning adjustment has been slow, and since the park itself is also going through a similar process, it could take long, he said. Vietnam attracts more than 14 billion USD of FDI in H1

The ministry’s data showed that as of June 20, 2022, the total newly registered capital, adjusted and contributed capital to buy shares, buy contributed capital of foreign investors reached 14.03 billion USD, as much as 91.1% over the same period in 2021. Of which, 752 new projects were granted investment registration certificates, down 6.5% compared to the same period, with a total registered capital of over 4.94 billion USD, down 48.2% over the same period. In addition, there were 487 projects registering to adjust their investment capital, up 5.9% over the same period, with the total additional registered capital reaching nearly 6.82 billion USD, up 65.6% compared to the same period last year. Young Vietnamese starts business collecting waste
As a new university graduate who wants to own a business and create jobs for young workers, Nguyen Van Tien, residing in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City, chose to start his business by collecting waste. When he was a student of the Saigon Technology University, Tien set his career plan of running a company instead of being in someone’s employment. He started his recyclable waste collection business in 2012. When collecting recyclable waste for local children’s small social plans, Tien thought that those materials could be reused and it was wasteful to get rid of them. The saying 'one man’s trash is another man’s treasure' inspired him to collect recyclable waste and establish a company operating in scrap management and recycling. Over 4,000 runners join Ben Tre Marathon in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta region
More than 4,000 participants took part in the 2022 Ben Tre Marathon in Ben Tre Province, located in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta region, last weekend. The race was one of the activities held to celebrate the 200th birthday of Vietnamese poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu and his UNESCO recognition as a World Cultural Celebrity, as well as part of the provincial traditional cultural festival. In addition to competition expertise, the tournament was meant to promote the development of tourism in Ben Tre among local and international sports lovers.
