UK’s GREAT scholarships for sustainable development launched

Hanoi (VNA) – The British Council said on January 13 it has launched the GREAT scholarship programme for sustainable development for students from five countries, including Vietnam. The other four countries benefiting from the 280,000 GBP programme are Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey. The programme is designed for those who want to study at a UK university for a one-year postgraduate course in a climate change-related subject. Each scholarship offers a minimum of 10,000 GBP towards tuition fees. The scholarships are jointly funded by the British Council, the GREAT Britain Campaign, and participating UK higher education institutions. Vocational education finds solutions to increase students’ job opportunity

Mentioning the admission of the academic year 2020-2021, Director of Chu Van An Vocational Training Center Do Minh Hoang revealed more than 300 students enrolled in each year within three recent years; many of students with good academic performance have registered to learn in the center. The rate of graduates in the center this academic year is higher than the prior year; for instance, it was 99.6 percent in the academic 2019-2020. More than 28 percent of university lecturers have doctorates
