A Vietnamese taxi driver accused an American woman of Vietnamese descendant of sexually harassing him on May 4 but oddly the latter had reported to local police that she was raped by another cabbie just a couple of days earlier. The accuser-turned-accused Pham Thi Thanh Ngoc, 40, is also the one who had lodged complaints to local police against a Vietnamese tabloid for what she called ostensible made-up stories last year that she raped many taxi drivers, one of whom was said to be forced to have sex with her over 30 times in two days. However, all of her accusations have been disproved by Vietnamese authorities eventually. Da Nang (VNA) - The 28th Informatics Olympiad for Students, the international programming contest (Procon) Vietnam and the 2019 International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia Da Nang Regional Contest concluded on December 6 after three days of competition. Since a 1987 UNESCO resolution calling for member states to commemorate the centenary of the birth of late President Ho Chi Minh, many countries have dedicated statues, museums, parks and streets in honor of Vietnam’s 'great man of culture.' The resolution was promulgated at the 24th session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris in 1987, three years before the centenary of the late president’s birth. Ho Chi Minh, also known as Nguyen Sinh Cung, Nguyen Tat Thanh, and Nguyen Ai Quoc, was born in 1890 in north-central Vietnam’s Nghe An Province, then part of French Indochina. He passed away in 1969.
