VN and South Korea discuss tax policies

Ambassador Kim said Viet Nam needed to create a more transparent and fairer tax environment for businesses. South Korea is the largest direct investment partner in Viet Nam. According to statistics, South Korea has 6,760 projects with total registered capital of US$59 billion. Vietnam share experience in building peacekeeping partnerships

Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the UN (Photo: VNA) New York (VNA) – Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnamese Permanent Mission to the UN shared Vietnam’s experience in promoting collaboration with partners to support the deployment of level-2 field hospitals in South Sudan at a discussion on enhancing the efficiency of UN peacekeeping in New York on December 6. Vietnam, the co-organiser of the event, is considered one of the countries with strong performance in building efficient partnership in UN peacekeeping operations in South Sudan. Quy said that Vietnam started sending personnel to UN peacekeeping missions in 2014. So far, 40 Vietnamese officers have been deployed to the UN peacekeeping missions in South Sudan and Central Africa. International integration contributes to national defense and security

Vietnam wins 3 gold medals at int’l math Olympiad

The Vietnamese team of six high school students won three gold medals, two silvers and a bronze at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) held in Cape Town, South Africa from July 3 to 13. The news was announced on Saturday by the exam department under the Ministry of Education and Training. Three gold medalists include Tran Hong Quan from Thai Binh High School in northern Thai Binh Province, Pham Tuan Huy from the special high school math training class of the Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City, and Nguyen The Hoan from the special high school math training class of the Vietnam National University - Hanoi. Vuong Nguyen Thuy Dung from Le Quy Don High School in central Da Nang City and Ho Quoc Dang Hung from the special high school math training class of the Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City grabbed two silver medals.
