Photo: Huu Tuan/The Hanoi Times The Italian-flagged cruise ship Costa Serena returned to the popular island of Phu Quoc Island in the southern province of Kien Giang on May 21, carrying more than 2,600 international tourists and becoming the first five-star cruise ship to visit the island since the Covid-19 outbreak. The arrival of Costa Serena signals the recovery of the local tourism industry. Phu Quoc is expected to receive more cruise ships soon as Kien Giang Province develops tourism infrastructure facilities to accommodate more ocean cruise passengers. HCM City seeking to ease traffic jams
The HCM City Department of Transport has issued a plan for solutions to deal with 25 traffic accident hotspots. The areas around Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the streets of Nguyen Thi Dinh and Nguyen Tat Thanh, Truong Chinh and the junctions of Cong Hoa-Hoang Hoa Tham and Tran Quoc Hoan-Phan Thuc Duyen are among the hardest hit. Traffic jams in HCM City According to the department, it is necessary to speed up key transport projects in the city, including tunnels at Nguyen Van Linh-Nguyen Huu Tho and Tran Quoc Hoai-Cong Hoa intersections. The city also needs to soon start work on expanding Hoang Hoa Tham Street in Tan Binh District and building an overpass at Bon Xa Intersection in Tan Phu District. More traffic lights and cameras need to be installed. Vietjet inaugurates Ha Noi-Phuket route

Vietjet sells all international tickets from zero dong

The promotional airfares (excluding taxes and fees) are applied for Vietjet's entire international flight network with flight schedules from August 12, 2023 to March 31, 2024, the airline announced on Monday. It added that when successfully buying a ticket from now to August 15, 2023, passengers will also receive an additional VND100,000 e-Voucher for the next booking. These new routes include HCM City-Kochi, Da Nang-Hong Kong, Phu Quoc- Hong Kong, Da Nang-Singapore, Da Nang-Daegu and Nha Trang-Seoul. Vietnamese airlines to launch more international air routes
Vietnamese airlines have announced plans to open more international air routes this summer. Budget airlines VietJet Air will open a daily air route from HCM City to Jakarta, Indonesia, from August 5. The carrier will also launch flights linking HCM City and Kochi (India) from August 12 and their Phu Quoc-Hong Kong (China), Danang-Hong Kong and Danang-Daegu (South Korea) and Nha Trang-Seoul (South Korea) flights this summer. International passengers at Noi Bai International Airport Meanwhile, Vietnam Airlines will resume flights on the Hanoi-Luang Prabang (Laos)-Siem Reap (Cambodia) with a frequency of three flights per week.
