Botulism Antitoxin (Photo: Children's Hospital 2) Hanoi (VNA) - The World Health Organisation (WHO) is urgently contacting to find a source of rare drugs to support Vietnam in treating botulinum poisoning cases, according to the Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV) under the Ministry of Health. The DAV revealed that botulism is a rare but life-threatening condition that is primarily caused by toxins produced by Clostridium botulinum bacteria. The poisoning is very rare both in Vietnam and around the world. The main cause is that patients are infected with bacterial toxins in poor-quality foods or eating poorly preserved foods. Since 2020, there have been only a few cases each year, with three cases recently recorded in Ho Chi Minh City. The National Master Program on the Development of Vietnamese Culture in 2023 - 2025 focused on five groups of objects and eight major missions. The National Master Program on the Development of Vietnamese Culture in 2023-2025 has been approved by a decision recently signed by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha. The program will be implemented throughout the country and abroad in a number of countries with long-standing cultural relations with Vietnam, focusing on cultural heritage, grassroots culture, performing arts, visual arts, photography and exhibitions, film, library science, training, ethnic culture, culture for foreign relations, and cultural industry. Ninh Binh’s ceramics conservation efforts pay off

(Source: Ninh Binh Department of Information and Communications) Ninh Bình (VNA) – The northern province of Ninh Binh, which recorded the appearance of pottery from about 8,000 - 9,000 years ago, has made significant efforts to revive the local pottery village in Yen Mo district. Ninh Binh is an ancient land, where prehistoric people lived in limestone caves with many material creations, including terracotta pottery. Ancient artifacts discovered at the Man Bac archaeological site in Yen Mo’s Yen Thanh commune have reflected a brilliant culture and an important part of the prehistoric pottery peak in the northern region. According to Pham Hong Tung, head of the Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Sciences, the Ninh Binh pottery is among the earliest of its kind in the region and in the world. IOM launches project to improve TB treatment for migrants
The International Organization for Migration has announced the launched the Phase 2 project on “Cross-border Tuberculosis (TB) Control Along the Viet Nam and Cambodia Border" in partnership with the National Tuberculosis Control Program (NTP), National Lung Hospital, Ministry of Health Viet Nam and National Centre for Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control (CENAT) of Cambodia, with financial aid from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. IOM is also working closely with the Migration Health Working Group, an inter- ministerial working group established to address important migrant health issues Cross border migrants often face difficulties in accessing healthcare services due to a lack of health insurance, language barriers, limited understanding of the health-care system in the destination country, and discrimination.
