Police in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday detained two employees of a forwarding company for their alleged appropriation of assets worth over VND2.3 billion (US$94,709) in total from their company. The two suspects are Nguyen Van Henh, 27, residing in the city’s District 8, and Lai Chi Thanh, 28, a native of Vinh Long Province, located in southern Vietnam. A police report shows that Henh was appointed a team leader in charge of the company’s business facility in the outlying district of Binh Chanh, where he was responsible for the import-export of mobile phones and electronic products. Serving as a delivery consultant, Thanh was tasked with arranging the delivery of mobile phones to customers. A man sustained numerous injuries and another person suffered fractured legs after a four-story house collapsed due to an unstable foundation in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday. At about 12:30 pm on Sunday, the house in Alley 133 of Binh Quoi Street in Binh Thanh District tumbled down. The house was under renovation at the time of the incident, the administration of Binh Thanh District informed on Monday. At the time, six workers, Ha Huu Thong -- the owner of the house -- his wife and daughter were inside the house. Two of the people escaped from the house collapse, while the seven others were trapped inside. Firefighters and rescuers in Binh Thanh District immediately rushed to the scene to save the seven victims.
