Besides strengthening the company’s financial capacity, the additional capital will also enable Prudential Vietnam to further improve its products and services and expanding its reach across the country. In recent years, Prudential Vietnam has actively expanded its business activities and recorded strong growth. Travellers' Notes (17-07-2009) Railways offer discounts for advance bookings The Viet Nam Railways Corporation has said they offer discounts for railway ticket reservations made well in advance from July 15. Tickets booked 15-59 days in advance will receive a 10 per cent discount while tickets reserved more than 60 days in advance will be given a 20 per cent discount. The discounts are offered to passengers on Ha Noi-HCM City and HCM City-Ha Noi routes from September 15 to December 15. Millions gather at Hung Temple to honor Vietnam’s founding Kings
People from across the country arrive in Phu Tho on Friday, a day before the death anniversary of the Hung Kings. An estimated seven million pilgrims will attend the festival this year, including 5.5 million who arrived before April 16 and 1.5 million on Saturday, according to the festival’s organizing committee. Phung Quang Ngoc and family from Central Vietnam arrive in Phu Tho on Friday morning. The family’s been doing the pilgrimage for several years so they had prepared water food and a sedge mat ahead of the hard journey. A young couple from Tuyen Quang mountainous province in the north rests after visiting the temples. “We will leave for home this afternoon as we are afraid we won’t be able to bear the crowd tomorrow,” the husband said.
