How a Vietnam War diary found its way home after 56 years
For Thien, the official visit to Vietnam by U.S. President Joe Biden earlier this month was not only an important event between Vietnam and the U.S., but a memorable milestone in his life. At the National Assembly Building on September 11, Thien received his war diary lost during a battle in Tay Ninh that borders HCMC in 1967, as witnessed by Biden and National Assembly chairman Vuong Dinh Hue. "I couldn’t have imagined ever receiving my lost diary from the war around 60 years ago. It was truly surprising and moving. For me, it was an invaluable relic," said Thien, 75. ACB and DHL Express cooperate to reduce carbon emissions in international express delivery
ACB and DHL at the signing ceremony. — Photo courtesy of DHL Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB) has become the first bank in Việt Nam that has signed a contract to use DHL's GoGreen Plus service to reduce carbon emissions for their international delivery shipments through the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). By applying GoGreen Plus Service, the bank estimates it can reduce up to 14 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year. The emission reduction process is certified annually by a third independent company – Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS). In addition, an additional carbon footprint report will be updated monthly that will detail ACB's total emissions in partnership with DHL Express.
