It will be held on October 14 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the GEM Center at 8 Nguyen Binh Khiem, District 1. HCMC is one of the cities with the highest event organization rate in the country. Hanoi Book Festival 2023: Spreading reading culture
The annual October book festival has become a must-visit destination for book lovers in the capital. The 8th Hanoi Book Festival will return to the pedestrian area of Hoan Kiem Lake in downtown Hanoi from October 6 to 8, helping to spread reading culture to many local and international readers, according to the city's Department of Information and Communication. The event, which has become a popular cultural rendezvous for bookworms, is one of the activities to celebrate the 69th anniversary of the capital's Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2023) and the 71st anniversary of the traditional day of Vietnam's book publishing, printing and distribution sector (October 10, 1952-2023). Festival preserves values of Vietnamese craft villages
At the press conference (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Craft Villages Festival 2023 will take place in Hanoi from October to November to preserve and promote the values of traditional craft villages, the organising board said at a press conference on September 26. The event will be co-organised by the Department of Cooperatives and Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), and the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. A wide range of activities are on schedule, including a ceremony to honour excellent craftsmen, an opening ceremony, an art programme, an international exhibition introducing craft products and those under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) programme, and an international workshop on preservation and development of craft villages. Hanoi: Exhibition of children’s paintings to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival
Fifty-eight colorful paintings expressing children's dreams for a better life are displayed at the Hanoi Museum. The exhibition, titled "The Colors," features 58 colored paintings on acrylic. These are the works of students from the Little Superman Art Club, which has been operating in Hanoi and neighboring provinces for nearly 10 years. The painting titled "My Childhood" by Nguyen Gia Han The exhibition will last until September 30 to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival 2023 in the capital. Life in the innocent eyes of children becomes beautiful, kind, and precious. CMSC navigates reforms and challenges at SOEs
Phan Van Son, director of General Department under the Commission for Management of State Capital at Enterprises In Vietnam’s quest for economic prosperity, the Commission for Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC) stands out as a sentinel overseeing the ownership in 19 pivotal state-owned enterprises (SOEs), each playing diverse roles across 16 varied sectors. According to Phan Van Son, director of General Department at the CMSC, the journey, while dotted with accomplishments, has many challenges. “The commission acts as a dedicated agency, symbolising state ownership in enterprises, rendering them guardians of state assets,” said Son. South Korea’s SK Group continues to deepen investment in Vietnam
SKC Co. Ltd. (SKC), a subsidiary of the SK Group , has received an investment certificate to develop a high-tech biodegradable materials factory in the northern port city of Hai Phong. With the total investment capital of $500 million, the factory specialises in producing biodegradable materials such as polybutylene adipate terephthalate and polybutylene succinate. The project spreads across an area of 32,089 square metres in the Haiphong I DEEP C Industrial Zone in the Dinh Vu-Cat Hai Economic Zone. In the first phase, the project will start construction in mid-December 2023, slated to be completed within nine months. The project is expected to reach an output of 35,000 tonnes by year-end. In the second phase, the company will increase the total output to 70,000 tonnes per year.
