Petrovietnam exceeds yearly targets for State budget contribution, pre-tax profit

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – In the first nine months of this year, the State budget contribution and the pre-tax profit of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group ( Petrovietnam ) exceeded the targets it set for the whole year. The group’s state budget contribution and the pre-tax profit were estimated at 102.4 trillion VND ( 4.2 billion USD) and 42.5 trillion VND, exceeding the yearly targets by 31% and 22%, respectively. International volunteers build houses for the poor in Phu Tho
International volunteers from Habitat for Humanity have joined the “Vietnam Big Build 2016” project to build houses for 20 poor families in Tam Nong district, northern Phu Tho province. The project drew the participation of more than 200 volunteers from Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, United States, New Zealand and Vietnam. Habitat for Humanity is a non-government organisation which has operated in Vietnam for 15 years. The organisation supported more than 13,600 low-income households nationwide. Hanoi exceeds international visitor target in 2023
Hanoi received 18.9 million tourists in the first nine months of this year. The number of international visitors to Hanoi in the first nine months of 2023 has exceeded the annual target, the Hanoi Department of Tourism reported. Photographer Viet Van is the winner of another photography award in America, the latest addition to his collection of 80 international photography awards. Hanoi-based photographer Tran Viet Van of Lao Dong (Labor) newspaper was among the honorable mentions at the 20th International Photography Awards (IPA) 2023 in the US. Van's entry, which consists of nine color photos with the theme Nhip dap thoi gian (The Rhythm of Time), was recognized in the Press Photo category. Denmark in Your Eyes 2023 painting competition on green future launched
Under the theme “Green Future,” this painting competition is part of the celebration of the 10th year anniversary of signing the Comprehensive Partnership Agreement between Vietnam and Denmark, a major milestone, which elevated our bilateral relationship from traditional development cooperation to a full-fledged partnership encompassing political dialogue, green growth, energy, trade and investment and culture.
