South Africa Communist Party supports Vietnam in peacefully solving East Sea issue
The Hanoitimes - Chris Matlhako, a member of the Politburo of the South Africa Communist Party (SACP), said that the East Sea issue should be resolved by peaceful measures on the basis of international law. Matlhako said that China, Vietnam and other countries in the region need to sit down to solve the issue in the spirit of friendship. Vietnam's consistent view of attaching importance to strengthening the special solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Laos. The two ministers held that the bilateral defence affiliation has reaped major achievements, contribution to maintaining security and political stability in each nation, and intensifying solidarity between the two countries. (VOVworld) – Kuwait’s Prime Minister Sheik Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabad began a 3-day official visit to Vietnam on Thursday. The visit is intended to boost friendship and cooperation between the two countries in trade, oil and gas, labor, agriculture, and tourism. Kuwait became one of the first countries in the Middle East to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam on January 10, 1976. In 2007 it became the first member of the Gulf Cooperation Council to open an embassy in Hanoi and a consulate in HCM city. Fruitful cooperation Kuwait provided Vietnam with valuable support during its past struggle for national liberation. Bilateral relations have been consolidated through a number of visits, including Prime Minister Al-Sabad’s visit to Vietnam in May, 2007, and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s visit to Kuwait in March, 2009. A New Chapter for Vietnam – Australia Relationship
On February 26, 2013, at the opening ceremony of the programme to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Australia ties held in Hanoi, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that the ties developed rapidly and strongly since 1993 when the two countries celebrated their 20 th anniversary of diplomatic relations. In May 1993, then Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet paid an official visit to Australia, the first high-level visit in the history of relations between the two sides. Over the past 20 years, Vietnam and Australia have exchanged more than 20 high-level delegations including those of the Party, State, Government and National Assembly.
