The week-long event, which started on Sunday, is hosted by the Vietnam Trade Office under the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK, in collaboration with the Vietnam Business Association in the UK (VBUK), and Longdan and EUTEK groups. As part of activities in the trade promotion programme of the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), the event aims to promote high-quality Vietnamese products that are benefiting from the UK-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA) to British retailers and consumers. Official visit by NA leader to reinforce Vietnam – UK parliamentary ties

Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The official visit to the UK from June 28 - 30 by National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue is the first trip to this European country by a parliamentary leader of Vietnam in 11 years, expected to help enhance political trust and cooperation between the two parliaments as well as their countries’ multifaceted relations. The visit will be made at the invitation of Lord Speaker of the House of Lords John McFall and Speaker of the House of Commons Lindsay Hoyle. The parliaments of Vietnam and the UK have recorded cooperation strides in the recent past. Vietnam, Hungary to sign new parliamentary cooperation agreement

Hungary was the first European Union state to approve the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA). Vietnam and Hungary are expected to sign an agreement on cooperation between the two parliaments in replacement of the one inked in 2008.
