EuroCham Vietnam has new chairman
Gabor Fluit, CEO of De Heus Asia, has been elected as the new chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham Vietnam). At the annual general meeting of the EuroCham in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City last week, Fluit was picked to replace his predecessor Alain Cany, chairman of Jardine Matheson Vietnam Group. Fluit will lead a new board of directors including 17 members. They will continue boosting and strengthening the economic ties between Europe and Vietnam. Fluit began working in Vietnam in 2008 when he was named CEO of De Heus Vietnam, which specializes in animal feed. In 2015, he became CEO of De Heus Asia. Musk says code for recommending tweets will be public
The code used for recommending the posts suggested to users will become "open source" at the end of March, Musk said in a tweet of his own. "People will discover many silly things, but we'll patch issues as soon as they're found!" Musk tweeted. "Providing code transparency will be incredibly embarrassing at first, but it should lead to rapid improvement in recommendation quality." Musk contended that the recommendation algorithm used at Twitter is overly complicated and not fully understood inside the company. "We're developing a simplified approach to serve more compelling tweets, but it's still a work in progress," Musk said. Making the code open source would mean developers, including aspiring rivals, would be able to put their own spins on the algorithm, according to a foundation for the software ecosystem. Singapore promotes instant payment system connectivity in Southeast Asia

To enhance cross-border payments, the BIS Innovation Hub Singapore Centre developed the Nexus concept of a first-of-its-kind multilateral network connecting multiple domestic instant payment systems (IPS). Nexus prototype successfully connected the test IPS of the Eurosystem, Malaysia and Singapore, allowing payments to be sent across the three using only mobile phone numbers. In the next phase, BIS and the central banks of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand will jointly work towards connecting their domestic IPS through Nexus. Aviation firms ready to welcome Chinese tourists
Responding to VTC News, a representative of the country's national airline, Vietnam Airlines, said that it has prepared resources to welcome visitors from China. "Early on, we prepared to welcome the recovery of Chinese tourism," a representative of Vietnam Airlines said. "As soon as China eased flight permits and isolation conditions in December last year, Vietnam Airlines reopened flights connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City to Guangzhou, Shanghai. "The airline has increased the frequency of flights connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City with Guangzhou and Shanghai, and at the same time resuming the Hanoi-Beijing route this month.” In the following months, the airline will reopen four routes, including Da Nang and Guangzhou, Shanghai, Chengdu; and Hanoi and Chengdu.
