The 2019 ASEAN Tourism Forum Travel Exchange (Travex), which will be held in Quang Ninh province on January 16 - 18, 2019. The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has called for local travel agents’ registration for Travex 2019. Accordingly, the travel exchange will feature 450 pavilions of ASEAN nations, including 100 booths of host Vietnam. Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh province. Travex is among the most long-standing annual travel fairs in ASEAN as part of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF). Quang Ninh province will host the ATF 2019 from January 14-19 next year under the theme “ASEAN: The Power of One”. The Deputy Minister of Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes Vietnam will soon welcome ASEAN delegations to attend major tourism events in Vietnam this year. In 2023, ASEAN member countries will enhance the promotion of tourism projects, further facilitate the connection between   ASEAN destinations, and strengthen joint promotion activities in key markets and within ASEAN. This question is at the heart of a global forum in Canada this weekend aiming to save marine ecosystems under threat from overfishing, pollution and climate change. On the heels of the historic biodiversity agreement signed at COP15 in Montreal late last year, about 3,000 officials, scientists, NGOs and Indigenous groups are meeting in Vancouver for the fifth International Marine Protected Areas Congress (IMPAC5), which opened Friday and runs until February 9. Scientists have said the meeting is crucial for setting up a framework to reach the agreed target at COP15 of protecting 30 percent of the planet's lands and oceans by 2030.
