Da Lat Flower Festival 2007, the biggest end-year cultural event in the country, themed "Da Lat Flowers, I love you!" will take place tomorrow in Da Lat, a tourism town of love and romance in the Vietnamese Central Highlands. The festival organized every two years will introduce to visitors many diverse activities such as a flower parade; a garden of stone sculptures; musical and fashion shows called Romantic Da Lat-Romantic Flowers; trade and cuisine fairs; a champagne and an ancient Vespa Scooter festival named "Charming Vespa" and many more. Collections of tens of pink, white and purple lotuses and nenuphars (water lily) will appear everywhere from the two main gates on Truong Dinh and Cach Mang Thang Tam streets to two artificial lakes covering an area of more than 100 square meters. The lotuses and nenuphars are decorated to rise up into the sky and depict the development of the city and the country in various fields including economy, culture and society. The festival will use flowers brought from neighboring provinces by the Ho Chi Minh Public Parks and Greenery Company. A Stall displaying products made from warheads and cartridges is of special interest to thousands of people flocking to Tao Dan Park in Ho Chi Minh City for the annual spring flower festival.
