Vietnam Airlines accomplishes SkyTeam’s Sustainable Flight Challenge

May 30, 2023 by tuoitrenews.vn

Vietnam Airlines has completed the Sustainable Flight Challenge, a sustainability initiative launched by the global airline alliance SkyTeam, on its flight VN37 leaving Hanoi for Germany’s Frankfurt. On the long-haul Hanoi-Frankfurt flight operated last Friday, the Vietnamese national flag carrier adopted environmental protection measures, such as giving its passengers bags recycled from old life jackets, serving sustainable meals, and encouraging passengers to carry their personal items instead of utilizing single-use items provided on board. The carrier collaborated with Limloop, a social business producing sustainable bags through plastic recycling and creating jobs for the disabled, to recycle old life jackets that no longer meet safety requirements into sustainable bags. This is one of the innovative ideas that the carrier has implemented in an attempt to align its business strategies with environmental protection measures, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from plastic … [Read more...] about Vietnam Airlines accomplishes SkyTeam’s Sustainable Flight Challenge

May 29, 2023 by e.vnexpress.net

Data from online booking travel site Agoda showed searches for Vietnam by Indian tourists between January 2019 to mid-May in 2023 grew more than for Southeast Asian neighbors like Thailand (147%), Singapore (215%) and Indonesia (256%), CNBC reported. The launch of a series of direct routes in recent years has made Vietnam a top pick among Indian travelers. Before 2019, there were no direct flights from India to Vietnam. The convenience of travel in Vietnam

May 30, 2023 by e.vnexpress.net

Since travel restrictions were lifted post-pandemic, I've visited places such as Borneo, western Malaysia, Laos and India. One thought keeps entering my mind: why aren't things as straightforward as they are in Vietnam? Inarguably, Vietnam has it complications at times. The traffic can instigate road rage in the calmest of individuals, and compromises to one's safety are not limited to when you're sitting on a motorbike. But there are at least 10 reasons why a Vietnam trip is easy, and one of the best. 1. The weak currency You cannot discuss travel without talking about money. An inescapable fact that makes Vietnam one of the easiest places to travel in the world is its currency. Vietnam dong is one of the weakest in the world, with the price of one U.S. dollar often converting to around VND23,000. Usually you have to be cautious with your spending when traveling. It’s easy to be afraid of checking the converted price of food alongside one too many drinks at lunch. But in … [Read more...] about The convenience of travel in Vietnam
