Phan Van Giang who is on an official visit to the RoK at an invitation of his Korean counterpart Lee Jong-sup. Han said the visit holds special significance as the two countries just upgraded their relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership last December. He stressed that his country considers Vietnam one of its most important partners in the region; and hopes to expand bilateral relations in diplomacy and economics, and to continue strengthening defence ties, particularly in defence industry. Prime Minister inspects major projects in Thua Thien Hue
Examining the resettlement area for 5,080 households who have to relocate to give space for the restoration of the Hue Ancient Capital, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked the province to continue to invest in the area's infrastructure, ensuring that residents enjoy similar or better living conditions compared to their old place. He also directed the province to continue to respond to requests of the affected people in the spirit of harmonising benefits. Workshop seeks measures to boost Vietnam-India relations
Participants discussed the potential, resources, and strengths of Vietnam and India in the development process of each country. They also touched upon directions and opportunities to intensify their cooperation in the coming time. Assoc. Deputy defense minister presents gifts to Lao people
Phathi is a cluster of villages that has received significant investment from the Government of Vietnam since 2009 to build essential infrastructure projects such as roads, clean water systems, schools, clinics, cultural centers, and agricultural extension programs. However, due to the lack of funds for maintenance and repairs, a number of construction items have deteriorated over time. To address this, the Vietnamese and Lao Ministries of National Defense recently received approval from the Prime Ministers of the two countries to support the maintenance, repairs, and upgrade of essential infrastructure works, particularly the clean water supply systems and school sites. During the visit, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien presented 40 gifts, each worth VND 2 million, to needy students and policy beneficiaries in the locality.
