The Hanoi Confederation of Labour on June 26th honoured 100 outstanding families in acknowledgement of their efforts and good deeds in response to the Vietnamese Family Year 2013. These families were selected from 12,525 outstanding families from various localities. Since 2007, this practice has been an annual event of the Hanoi Confederation of Labour. This year, about 14,000 workers' and officials' families received merit certificates at all levels. These outstanding families across the city have overcome difficulties to build happy families with well-educated children, while developing their family-owned businesses, promoting traditional fondness of learning, maintaining and fostering family happiness, educating children and taking care of the elderly.
