A district in Ha Tinh Province, north-central Vietnam reported more than 4,300 students suffering from conjunctivitis in one week, bringing the total number of cases in the province to over 30,000, as confirmed by local health authorities. An official of the education and training division of Ha Tinh’s Loc Ha District said on Tuesday that the prevalence of pinkeye disease is becoming increasingly complex among students attending kindergartens, elementary schools, and middle schools in the locality. From September 13 to the present, the entire district documented more than 4,300 students affected by conjunctivitis. In an effort to contain the widespread transmission of the disease within schools, the Loc Ha District education division requested that schools allow afflicted students to stay home. Irish boy band Westlife thrilled Vietnamese audiences on Tuesday night by revealing their plan to come back to Vietnam for a live concert scheduled for November 22. The band wrote on their Facebook account that “Vietnam! We are so excited to be coming back with the Wild Dreams tour on 22nd November 2023.” Their live concert will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, according to their Facebook post.
