The Cashless Ride program, as a part of this year’s Cashless Day, organized a fair in Da Nang City, central Vietnam on Sunday to introduce digital payment methods to local residents. The event attracted many residents and tourists, especially young people. Participants had an opportunity to experience cashless payment technologies as well as play games and win prizes offered by the program’s partners, namely NAPAS, Sacombank, MBBank, HDBank, VNPT Money, SHB, and Nam A Bank. The fair was an activity organized by the Cashless Ride, one of the programs within the framework of this year’s Cashless Day. The day has been marked annually on June 16 since 2019 by Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper and the State Bank of Vietnam. Hanoi to pilot real-time reporting system in Q3

EVN warns of electricity failure due to hot weather
The development of intensely hot weather on a large scale in the North and Central regions since mid-June has been causing the national electricity consumption to climb sharply. According to data from the National Load Dispatch Center, at noon on June 21, the national electricity consumption capacity exceeded 45,000 MW for the first time and set a new record high of 45,528 MW. Hanoi welcomes over 8.6 million visitors in first half of 2022
The result comes from the fact that Hanoi authorities made good use of opportunities such as the 31st Southeast Asian Games. Hanoi’s tourism sector welcomed 8.61 million visitors in the first six months of 2022, an increase of nearly three times year-on-year, according to the municipal Department of Tourism. The arrival number is estimated to hit 211 thousand while that of domestic tourists is around 8.4 million visitors. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND25.2 trillion (around US$1 billion), up more than three times compared to the same period in 2021. The average room occupancy in hotels rated with stars is estimated at more than 30%, an increase of 6.11% year on year.
