The information was announced by representatives of Tuoi Tre (Youth) Newspaper, the Saigontourist Group, and the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City at a press conference on September 28 in the city. The event, which marks the seventh edition of the ‘Day of Pho’ (December 12), initiated and annually held by Tuoi Tre, is aimed at promoting Vietnamese cuisine, particularly Pho, a Vietnamese soup consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat – usually beef or chicken. The program is dedicated to the 10 young women volunteers who gave their lives for the victory of Dong Loc during the anti-American war. An art performance celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Dong Loc Victory is being produced by the Vietnam Women's Museum and director Le Quy Duong. Titled Huyen Thoai Thanh Xuan (Legend of Youth), the performance is dedicated to 10 young female volunteers who gave their lives for the Dong Loc Victory during the anti-American war. Dong Loc T-junction is located in Dong Loc Commune in the Central province of Ha Tinh, on the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail. The stage is designed to recreate the Dong Loc battlefield. From 1965 to 1968, the US Army dropped nearly 50,000 bombs and fired tens of thousands of missiles on the Dong Loc T-junction to cut off the transport route to the southern front. According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, 72 countries recognize Vietnam as a market economy, including Canada, Australia, Japan, and South Korea. The UK did so recently with an official letter to the effect. Speaking to VnExpress , a Trade Remedies Authority Department official said since its first anti-dumping investigation case against Vietnam in 2002 the U.S. had been considering the country a non-market economy. In a meeting with the U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo in Washington last Tuesday, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed the U.S. to soon recognize Vietnam’s market economy status . “Japfa for Education” journey reached out to students at Vinh Quang Elementary School in Tuyen Quang province This initiative is part of a project named "Japfa for Education" which the company has been implementing for many years to support children nationwide. Logistics groups go green to add to net-zero goals, source: DHL Express DHL Express on September 19 onboarded Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB) to its GoGreen Plus service to reduce carbon emissions for its time-definite international shipments through the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). By investing in GoGreen Plus, it is estimated that ACB will be able to reduce 14 tonnes worth of total CO2 emissions within a 12-month period. The entire process is verified annually by an independent third-party agency. In addition, a complementary carbon footprint report will be updated monthly, detailing ACB’s overall emissions with DHL Express. Art Trail #01 – Travel & Workshop occurs at Ana Mandara Villas Dalat On September 18, Annam Gallery and Ana Mandara Villas Dalat Resort & Spa kicked off their Art Trail #01 – Travel & Workshop with the mission to inspire young artists. Organised by the Lan Tinh Foundation in collaboration with Annam Gallery and Ana Mandara Villas Dalat Resort & Spa, the event is a journey created by three young artists amid the nostalgic French colonial architecture of Dalat, in a place once designated as a retreat for French officials and soldiers during the colonial period.
