Revenues were up 55 percent year-on-year to VND11.6 trillion, the highest since 2020, when Covid-19 started to cripple the aviation industry. But it reported a ninth consecutive quarterly loss, with a total gross loss from the sales of products and services of around VND1.6 trillion due to higher costs. The silver in the event went to Phoo War of Myanmar and the bronze was shared by Chankanika (Cambodia) and Wetan (Indonesia). The new transmissions were detected in 48 cities and provinces, bringing the country's tally to 10,701,796. The capital city  of Hanoi still topped the country in terms of new daily infections, with 403 patients. It was followed by northern Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho provinces, with 139 and 125 cases. There was one COVID-19 related death reported in on the day, bringing the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 43,072, accounting for 0.4 percent of total cases. Special Adviser to the U.N. Secretary General on Climate Action Selwin Hart handed over the letter to Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the U.N. at a meeting in New York on May 18.
