Ho Chi Minh City to spend over 7 trillion VND on medical infrastructure, equipment
The decision is part of a resolutions adopted by the 10th municipal People’s Council at its 10th meeting in Ho Chi Minh City on September 19. Accordingly, the municipal People's Council approved a total investment of over 1.49 trillion VND for medical equipment in Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital, more than 1.36 trillion VND for Cu Chi Regional General Hospital, and 1.45 trillion VND for Thu Duc Regional General Hospital. It also adopted projects for the construction of new infrastructure and procurement of equipment in 17 medical facilities. With the adjustments, the total mid-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period is valued at over 3 trillion VND, and that for 2026-2030 is more than 4 trillion VND. Security officers at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi checked surveillance camera footage and detected a Vietnamese man taking a wallet and another picking up a watch dropped by other passengers at the airport before boarding flights to the south. At 10:00 am on Monday, J.V.R., 31, of Indian nationality, reported to the Noi Bai Aviation Security Center that he lost a wallet containing his identity papers and cash totaling VND1.45 million (US$59.4) at the T1 domestic passenger terminal while completing procedures for his flight to Phu Quoc Island off southern Kien Giang Province. Security personnel at Noi Bai International Airport checked the camera footage and found a man holding the wallet preparing to board a flight from Noi Bai to Can Tho City in southern Vietnam the same day. Moody’s launches credit rating firm in partnership with Vietnam’s leading financial institutions
Moody’s Corporation, a global integrated risk assessment firm, on Wednesday announced the launch of Vietnam Investors Service and Credit Rating Agency JSC (VIS Rating), a partnership between Moody’s and leading Vietnamese financial institutions. The Vietnamese Ministry of Finance on Tuesday issued a credit rating agency license to VIS Rating that was initiated by the Vietnam Bond Market Association. VIS Rating will provide independent credit rating services to corporate issuers in Vietnam. Moody’s is the largest shareholder in VIS Rating with a 49-percent holding but VIS Rating operates independently from Moody’s. Other founding shareholders include ACB Securities Company, Dragon Capital Finance Limited, Nam A Bank Asset Management Company Limited, VNDIRECT Securities Corporation, and VPS Securities Joint Stock Company.
