The number of national-standard schools in Hanoi has increased to 1,620, or 72.3% of all the schools in the city. Hanoi aims to have more than 170 new national-standard schools this year, an increase of 22% from the previous year, according to the municipal Department of Education and Training. Strangers coax Hanoi primary school students to smoke e-cigarettes
Citing reports by teachers, students and parents at the Lai Yen primary school in Hoai Duc District, the Committee said some children were offered to smoke e-cigarettes by five people with unconfirmed identity two weeks prior. They told the children that if they agreed to smoke and persuade others to join, they would be gifted the e-cigarette and VND50,000 ($2.13). Some children agreed to smoke, the Committee said. Electric tourist cars to be suspended in central Vietnam beach town
At a Wednesday meeting with businesses that offer electric tourist car services, Doan Tien Dung, chairman of Cua Lo, said authorities want electric tourist cars to be properly registered before they can operate to maintain traffic safety. Family raises crabs in plastic boxes in north-central Vietnam
A family in Ha Tinh Province, north-central Vietnam uses plastic boxes to raise crabs, a unique farming model with high financial returns. Pham Thanh Son, 39, lives with his family in Cuong Gian Commune, Nghi Xuan District, Ha Tinh Province where they are expected to make a fortune raising crabs in plastic boxes. Over the years, Hanoi's agriculture sector has been highly committed to the safe and organic cultivation of pomelo to make full use of this famous variety.
