Troops actively support flood-hit victims
In Nghe An province, some districts of Quy Chau, Thanh Chuong, Con Cuong, Do Luong, Quy Hop and Ky Son suffered from heavy rains and flooding. Especially in Quy Chau district’s Tan Lac town, over 250 houses were flooded, causing severe damages to assets and properties. Hence, the Quy Chau district Military Command have sent 30 servicemen and vehicles to evacuate local people and their properties. Local militiamen are present at heavily-flooded roads to warn residents. According to Colonel Vuong Dinh Hanh, Political Commissar of the Ky Son district Military Command, his troops are supporting local people to move elderly, children and properties to higher places in Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district. Family of Ms. A Lang Nhip in Cong To Ron village, La Dee commune, Nam Giang district (Quang Nam province), is one of the needy households receiving breeding cows from Defense Economic Unit 207. The 35-year-old woman is facing difficult conditions, as her husband left her family. She is now living with two children and her old mother. Therefore, the unit presented breeding cows and instructed her on how to take care of them. “I would like to send my sincere thanks to the troops for helping me. BASF Vietnam rebuilds seventh school
The newly re-built school, with a total area of more than 300 square metres, comprises two classrooms and a playground and aims to improve the academic environment for both teachers and students.
