During the event, the command’s orators updated fishermen in localities on information related to the Vietnam Coast Guard Law in 2018, Fisheries Law in 2017, and documents related to legal fishing at sea and IUU fishing. Goods retail sales, service revenue rise almost 14% in Q1

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue increased 13.9% year on year to over 1.5 quadrillion VND (63.9 million USD) in the first quarter of 2023, compared to the 5% growth in the same period of 2022, the General Statistics Office (GSO) reported. Excluding the price factor, the retail sales and service revenue went up 10.3% while that in Q1 last year rose 2%. Compared to Q1 of 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, the amount in this year’s first three months increased 26.7%, the GSO noted. Retail sales are estimated at nearly 1.19 quadrillion VND, up 11.4% (8.4% if the price factor is excluded). In particular, sales of grain food and foodstuff grew 14.6%, apparel 12.3%, vehicles (excluding automobiles) 4.5%, and household items and equipment 3.9%. Vietnam emphasizes global multilateral approaches to solving climate change issues
Vietnam’s engagement in U.N. resolution that urges the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to outline nations' legal obligations related to curbing climate change disasters and their impacts on vulnerable communities proves the country’s point of view, the ambassador said in a recent interview to the Vietnam News Agency right after the resolution was adopted on March 29. The resolution, co-sponsored by 132 countries, calls on the ICJ to lay out nations' obligations for protecting Earth's climate, and the legal consequences they face if they don't. On this occasion, the unit presented 129 national flags, 34 portraits of Uncle Ho, nearly 2.000 leaflets, and disseminated information about maritime border security and some legal documents about IUU fishing and the Law on National Border; Law on the Sea of Vietnam 2012; Law on Vietnam Border Guard; United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea in 1982 (UNCLOS 1982), among others, to 85 vehicles and 928 fishermen. They also provided information about Prime Minister’s Dispatch No.732/CD-TTg, issued on May 28, 2017, and Directive No.45/CT-TTg, issued on December 13, 2017, among others. VnExpress Marathon Imperial Hue 2023 is the race with the most foreign runners in the VnExpress Marathon system so far. The lastest one, VM Ho Chi Minh City Midnight, was joined by more than 100 foreign athletes. "Russians are buying real estate in Phuket to live. They intend to buy immediately as they want to start moving in right away," said Nattha Kahapana, managing director of property consultant Knight Frank Thailand, as cited by the Bangkok Post.
