The ceramic works, created by Vietnamese artisan Nguyễn Hùng and Hương Việt Ceramic Company, include a sculpture of a toad and a carved and embossed ceramic plate. They have been recognised as the largest ceramic sculpture of a mythical creature and the largest carved ceramic plates, respectively. The sculpture of the toad, measuring 173.5cm in length, 110cm in width and 77.8cm in height, was made of clay and a unique enamel. The mythical creature depicted is known as the holy three-legged toad or feng shui toad in Asia and is a symbol of prosperity. HCM City students join 2022 Green Summer Campaign
More than 360,000 young people and students from colleges and universities are working as volunteers in the 2022 Mùa Hè Xanh (Green Summer) Campaign, a community and charity programme launched by the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union this week. — VNA/VNS photo by Hồng Giang HCM CITY — Nearly 800 university students and members of the Hồ Chí Minh Communist Youth Union opened the 2022 Mùa Hè Xanh (Green Summer) Campaign on Tuesday in HCM City. Hanoi greets over 8.61 million visitors in first half

The city's total tourism revenue in the first half of 2022 amounted to approximately 25.2 trillion VND (1.08 billion USD), more than three times higher than the figure in the first six months of 2021. Local hotels rated 1-5 stars recorded an average occupation rate of over 30% during the period, up 6.11% year-on-year. The capital city, home to 24 recognised tourist destinations, is offering a series of enticing products to attract tourists given its reopening of the local tourism industry.
