Gia Dinh Wasuco JSC and Saigon Water Corporation (Sawaco), two water suppliers of Ho Chi Minh City, have issued notices for a water disruption that is expected to affect 12 districts this weekend. The service disturbance started at 9:00 pm on Friday and will last until 5:00 pm on Saturday for technicians to repair pipes, leaving the entirety of Binh Thanh District, Phu Nhuan District, Wards 12, 13, 14 in District 3, and Ward 1 in Go Vap District to experience low water pressure, according to Gia Dinh Wasuco’s announcement. Sawaco also said that it will temporarily suspend water supply in some districts for the routine maintenance of Tan Hiep Water Plant from 10:00 pm on Saturday to 4:00 am on Sunday. Instead of having to go to many places to seek support, women and children who are victims of violence just need to go to a one-stop model for women and children located at Hung Vuong Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for medical care, and psychological and legal counselling. Vietnamese carriers reschedule flights to/from Frankfurt due to airport strike
Vietnam Airlines and Bamboo Airways, two Vietnamese carriers, on Friday evening announced the rescheduling of their flights to and from Frankfurt International Airport due to an upcoming strike slated for March 27 at Germany’s biggest aviation hub. According to Bamboo Airways, its round-trip flights linking Hanoi with Frankfurt have been rescheduled for March 28, instead of March 27. Flight QH73 on the Hanoi-Frankfurt route will depart at 3:15 am (local time) while Flight QH74 will leave Frankfurt for Hanoi at 12:45 pm (local time). Priest discusses challenges to iconic Saigon church renovation
Work began on the VND140 billion (US$5.98 million) project to renovate the 147-year-old Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica in 2017. The project was originally expected to be finished this year, but the completion date has since been pushed back until 2027. Priest Ignatio Ho Van Xuan, head of the church's renovation board, spoke with VnExpress in an exclusive interview about the unexpected challenges and difficulties that have caused the renovation work to drag on much longer than planned. 30 Indonesians fall victim to Malaysia human trafficking ring in Vietnam
The police in Ho Chi Minh City have busted a human trafficking ring involving Malaysian nationals that allegedly deceived 30 Indonesians for property appropriation in Vietnam.
