Dak Lak man dreams of electric wheelchair
Three of his oldest daughters had to drop out of school very early and are also poor. Only his youngest daughter was able to graduate high school. For the past three years, his condition has worsened, his limbs have curved up and become stiff so one of his friends help take him to his lotto stall every day. But recently, Thang mostly stays home as it's getting harder and harder for him to move around. Thang said he only wished for an electric wheelchair to be able to work more. "I live on a monthly allowance for disabled people. The locality authorities gave me a wheelchair before but I was too weak to even push the wheels myself for too long so I gave it to another person in need," he said. He went on to say that he dreams of having an electric wheelchair. But the VND20m cost is too expensive. He wants to go out to work more to save money for his daughter's studies.
