(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) - Art of the Samurai Swords , an exhibition from Japan, will be open in Quang Ninh province's Ha Long city this April. A contract has been recently signed by fine art auction house CHON de l'art and Sun Group. Following their deal, the ancient Japanese village of the Bizen Osafune area in the EDO period (1603-1863) will be built up at Sun Hill on the grounds of the Sun World Ha Long Complex. Bizen Osafune is located in eastern Okayama Prefecture. It has been the country's largest sword making centre for thousands of years, where the best blacksmiths gather. Vietnam’s Hoi An to hold biggest-ever First Full Moon Festival
Authorities in Hoi An City, central Vietnam will hold a series of events to celebrate the annual Tet Nguyen Tieu this weekend. The traditional Tet Nguyen Tieu, or the First Full Moon Festival falling on the 15th day of the first lunar month, has long been adored not only by locals but also visitors to the ancient city. According to Pham Phu Ngoc, director of the Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation, the festival will be organized on the largest scale ever this year. It takes place in celebration of Hoi An’s First Full Moon Festival being recognized as national intangible cultural heritage early this month. A ceremony to receive the title will be held on the morning of February 5. The event was attended by leaders of the Political Department of Military Region 3, the Military Youth Advisory Board, the provincial Military Command, the provincial Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, agencies, organizations, enlisted youths, and their relatives and friends. During the event, participants offered incense in commemoration of the fallen; visited historical relic sites; had exchange with war veterans, historical witnesses, and demobilized troops in 2023; participated in artistic, cultural, and sports exchanges. Vietnamese movie enters world’s top 10 box office on weekend
The movie, released during the Lunar New Year holiday, immediately dominated the domestic box office and broke many records. According to Box Office Mojo, the global box office tracking site of IMDb, "Nha Ba Nu" recorded the sixth highest revenue in world box offices (excluding North America) from January. 27 to 29. Ninh Binh Province in northern Vietnam ranked seventh on a list of the 10 most welcoming destinations in the world published recently by Dutch-based online travel agency Booking.com.
