Cultural attractors activators

The activities, including film screenings, fashion shows, flag raising ceremony, culinary introduction, folk games, and sports tournaments, among others will take place from August 6 to 28. Organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in coordination with the Indonesian Embassy and the Philippine Community in Tanzania, the event aims to promote exchanges and connections between citizens within ASEAN and Tanzania in the fields of culture, cinema and cuisine. It drew the participation of officials and staff of the embassies and people of the three ASEAN countries who are living and working in the country as well as 200 Tanzanian youths, students and international friends. Addressing the closing ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Ngoc Khanh said nearly 20,000 people from Ba Ria - Vung Tau are living in over 50 countries and territories worldwide, mainly the United States, Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and ASEAN nations. He hoped the campers had great experiences with Vietnam and Ba Ria - Vung Tau and that they would become ambassadors promoting Vietnamese nature, culture and people to international friends. Khanh also wanted them to act as a bridge to strengthen the friendship and relations between Vietnam and their host countries and territories. At the working session, both sides informed each other on the border protection and management, especially the fight against human trafficking, preventing and fighting drug-related crimes. Over the past time, the national border sovereignty of the two sides has been well maintained, while security and order situation along the border areas of Kon Tum and Attapeu provinces have been always ensured. Both sides have strictly controlled activities and conducted patrol along the borderline, made recommendations to authorities at all levels to develop economy, culture and society in the areas.
