Two-way trade jumped 250 per cent to US$6.6 billion in 2018 from $2.52 billion in 2010, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Minh Khoi told a seminar on Friday. Ho Chi Minh City jazz nights to promote Vietnam-Russia cultural exchange
Two jazz nights featuring famed Russian guitarist Dmitry Maloletov and renowned Vietnamese saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan will take place in Ho Chi Minh City, with the first event scheduled for this weekend. As part of a series to celebrate the upcoming 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Russia (1950-2020), the events aim to show the unity of Russians and Vietnamese through music as well as promote cultural exchanges between the two peoples. Vietnam shares experience in building peacekeeping partnerships
Vietnam, the co-organizer of the event, is considered one of the countries with strong performance in building efficient partnership in UN peacekeeping operations in South Sudan. Quy said that Vietnam started sending personnel to UN peacekeeping missions in 2014.
