“With the results achieved in 2020, youth, creativity, solidarity, and dedication, we are committed to achieving the revenue and profit targets set in 2021, helping FPT to grow steadily and endure,” shared Nguyen Van Khoa, general director of FPT at the 2021 annual general meeting of shareholders, held online on April 8. In 2021, FPT set a plan for sustainable growth with increases of 16.4 per cent in revenue and 18 per cent in pre-tax profit. The group also continues to ensure the rate of cash dividend at 20 per cent even as the COVID-19 pandemic is not completely under control. Besides, the group determined that the technology sector will continue to be its main growth driver due to the strength derived from digital transformation services as well as the group of products and solutions made by FPT. Proactive, fast, drastic, and compliant Discussing the group's business results in 2020, Khoa said, “We moved from peacetime to wartime, with battlefields on all fronts. FPT brought into play the strength of youth and creativity as one of our strengths, accelerating the war.” Not only did FPT stay on track to its business targets, it has also found new growth drivers, ensuring the group’s sustainable growth in the long-term. One of FPT’s new growth drivers in 2020 was optimal governance. In order to maintain unified and transparent operations and working towards the real-time company model, FPT accelerated its internal digital transformation. During the visit on April 13, the mission checked the task performance of military units stationed in the district and on the platforms. Over the past time, these units have strictly embraced and carried out higher levels’ resolutions and directives while their troops have always been determined to complete all assigned missions. The units’ chains of command have thoroughly grasped combat plans and effectively dealt with situations in the air and at sea so as to firmly defend national sovereignty over seas and islands. On this occasion, General Thang applauded the troops for their efforts to overcome difficulties, stay united with each other, demonstrate high resolve in safeguarding national maritime sovereignty. Vietnamese artists are welcoming the establishment of an electronic trading floor where involved parties can meet for transactions, assess the value of products, and support artists on issues related to intellectual property. The trading platform can serve as a channel for transactions, product valuation and support in intellectual property, striving for Vietnam’s showbiz industry development and integration. There will be an official information portal and transaction channel on VAB that connects and manages orders related to performance schedules and creative product use. Tang Ngan Ha, the founder of VAB, said the trading floor will create a civilized and transparent environment to protect and assess the value of artists’ intellectual property. Unlike developed countries, where the showbiz industry has existed for many years and the market controlled by prestigious distributors, in Vietnam, artists have been alone in the process of advertising, distributing and protecting their products. With the establishment of the electronic trading floor, all products to be announced will be examined in a strict and transparent way, with authorization. There will not be any limitation on the fields of creativity of the artists. They could be singers, musicians, dancers, actors, models or writers.
