Paris (VNA) – The Paris-based Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts (AVSE Global) held a round-table discussion on March 18 to review its activities in the recent past and introduce coming projects. Prof. Nguyen Duc Khuong, Chairman of the association, said the AVSE Global , whose predecessor was the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts in France, was established in Paris in 2011 with a view to connecting overseas Vietnamese scientists and experts to capitalise on their potential. With the participation of hundreds of Vietnamese experts and scientists around the world, it has been implementing a number of programmes to support the homeland’s development. Reviewing the country’s socio-economic recovery and development achievements in 2022, the PM said the macro economy remained stable, major economic balances were ensured, and notably the domestic investment and business environment was improved significantly. During the post-COVID-19 period, the foreign investment disbursement went up 13.5% as compared with 2021, which reflected Vietnam’s attractiveness in the regional and global investment maps, he said. Pham Minh Chinh stressed that the Vietnamese Party and State advocate green growth in order to ensure rapid, effective and sustainable economic development, contributing to implementing the 2021-2030 socio-economic development strategy.
