Vietbank to revolutionise Ho Chi Minh City bus payments
The EMV Open-Loop payment system allows passengers to conveniently use their existing bank cards or e-wallets to pay for bus fares, eliminating the need for cash or specialised cards or tickets designed solely for the bus system. This flexible and modern payment method meets the demands of both the residents and tourists who use public bus services in Ho Chi Minh City. It has already been successfully implemented in numerous countries worldwide, including the United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, and the United States. Since 2019, Vietbank has been conducting a pilot project for automated payment on public buses with the authorisation of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. 2 waste-to-energy projects in Ho Chi Minh City at standstill after 4 years
Two waste-to-energy projects in Ho Chi Minh City have yet to be completed although work on them started in 2019 and they were expected to treat thousands of metric tons of garbage starting in 2020. The projects are funded by Vietstar Joint Stock Company and Tam Sinh Nghia Investment - Development Joint Stock Company in the Tay Bac Solid Waste Treatment Complex in Cu Chi District. The waste volume in the city increases annually, while burying waste is out-of-date and causes environmental pollution. As a result, Ho Chi Minh City needs to accelerate and put into operation waste-to-energy projects. Quang Ninh: Tuan Chau – Ha Long commercial flights to be operated in July
The carrier conducted a survey of the conditions for take-off and landing on the route and opened a flight training course for seaplane pilots in Co To district on June 1. Nguyen Ba Hai, a seaplane captain from the company, said the opening of the route will cut the time travelling from Ha Long city to Co To island to 20 minutes from the current 90 minutes. Cessna Caravan aircraft will be used on the route, Hai said, adding that Hai Au airline has ten-year experience of operating in the Ha Long Bay area with a 100% safe flight rate. Vietnam, Saudi Arabia share vision for greener future
The online completion was jointly organized by the Embassy of Saudi Arabia and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Organization of Hanoi's Tay Ho district with the aim of honoring environmentally-friendly lifestyles as well as initiatives and ideas to protect the environment. MoIT extends deadline for steel cable antidumping ruling
According to the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (TRAV), the MoIT issued Decision No. 1327/QD-BCT to extend the deadline for issuing a decision to investigate the case file and associated information on June 5. The extension is for a further thirty days and should be sufficient for the submission of a ruling following an investigation into implementing anti-dumping regulations for imported prestressed steel cable products by July 5. Article 70, clause 2, of the Law on Foreign Trade Management states, "Within 45 days of the date of notification of valid dossiers, based on the recommendations of the investigating bodies. The MoIT Minister decides whether to conduct an investigation or not. In exceptional circumstances, the decision-making period may be extended once for no more than 30 days." Crypto assets, such as bitcoin , have little direct regulation globally, but regulators are taking a closer look after the downfall of FTX last year, which left millions of investors nursing losses totaling billions of dollars, some of them in Britain. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) said "refer a friend" bonuses for crypto buyers would also be scrapped and that those promoting such assets would have to put in place clear risk warnings and ensure adverts were clear, fair and not misleading.
