Speaking at a press conference on June 7, head of Bakamla, Vice Admiral Aan Kurnia said that the forum aims to establish cooperation to maintain security and stability in ASEAN. A discussion at the NA fifth session (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Deputies of the 15th National Assembly (NA) are scheduled to question cabinet members and approve a resolution on the NA supervision programme for 2024 on June 8 during their ongoing fifth plenary session . The Minister of Transport and Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai will answer the deputies’ question regarding transport issues. June 8 agenda also includes discussions on an NA draft resolution on the pilot of a number of special mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City. The visit was in the program themed “10th Trust and Aspiration for the Fatherland - Overseas Vietnam (OVs) to Truong Sa,” which concluded on April 23 in Khanh Hoa province. This was the tenth trip jointly organized for OVs by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' State Commission for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs (SCOV), and the Naval Command. According to Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu, since 2013, the SCOV and the Naval Command have brought over 500 OVs to visit Truong Sa island district and the DK1 platforms. Mr. Vu highlighted these visits which have helped confirm Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago and give OVs chances to exchange with their compatriots at home, thus enhancing the great national unity bloc.
