According to Betty Nguyen herself via her twitter account she is leaving cable news giant CNN for broadcast television network CBS. According to her twitter feed, Nguyen will miss CNN and says her colleagues were “top notch.” Betty Nguyen is credited with being the first Asian American to anchor a national news broadcast in the united states. She was honored by the Smithsonian Institute for the accomplishment in 2007. In 1975 Nguyen and her family fled South Vietnam near the end of the Vietnam war to come to the United States. Nguyen was less than a year old and once here in the states she went on to receive a Bachelors degree in broadcast journalism. Her last interview at CNN was with the Dalai Lama. …

Two Việt Nam beaches among top beaches in Asia
Mỹ Khê Beach in Đà Nẵng City. VNA/VNS Photo HCM CITY – TripAdvisor readers have named Mỹ Khê in the central city of Đà Nẵng and An Bàng in Hội An City among the most beautiful beaches in Asia. Around three kilometres from Hội An, An Bàng was in the 24th position on the list of 25 best beaches in Asia, while Mỹ Khê finished off the list. An Bàng is one of the few white-sand beaches left in Việt Nam that has yet to be spoiled by the boom in beach tourism that has resulted in overcrowding, coral damage and environmental pollution. Once a hidden gem in the old town, the beach entered the international limelight when CNN listed it as one of the 100 best beaches on earth in 2011. The 10-km-long Mỹ Khê beach running from the base of Sơn Trà Peninsula to Marble Mountains was catapulted to global fame when Australian newspaper The Sunday Herald Sun listed it among Asia's 10 most beautiful beaches in 2012. ASEAN member states cohesive and responsive in overcoming difficulties The 36th ASEAN Summit, held via video conference under the chair of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in his capacity as ASEAN Chair 2020, has come to a productive conclusion. This was the first time ASEAN’s regular summit was held in the form of a video conference, due to the context of the global COVID-19 outbreak. During the event, ASEAN leaders focused on discussing an array of issues, including controlling the COVID-19 pandemic and promoting economic recovery and intra-bloc cooperation; building a strong ASEAN Community according to set goals; expanding ASEAN’s external relations with its partners in the spirit of mutual respect, mutually beneficial cooperation, and upholding ASEAN’s central role in the region; pledging to maintain a peaceful and stable environment for cooperation, sustainable development and prosperity; and upholding the spirit of goodwill and compliance with international law in addressing regional differences.
