Minutes before school attack, Texas gunman sent online warning
The gunman, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, also sent a message on Tuesday saying he was going to shoot his grandmother and another one confirming he had done so, Abbott said at a news conference. Ramos' grandmother, whom the suspect shot in the face shortly before attacking the school, survived and called police. Ramos gave no warning except the online posts. After shooting his grandmother, he fled the home they shared and crashed his car near Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, about 80 miles (130 km) west of San Antonio. A school police officer approached him outside the building, according to officials, but no gunfire was exchanged. Authorities offered few additional details of that encounter, which is likely to become a focus of investigations, except that the suspect dropped a bag full of ammunition on the ground and ran toward the school when he saw the officer. Ramos then entered the school through a back door carrying an AR-15-style rifle and made his way down two … [Read more...] about Minutes before school attack, Texas gunman sent online warning

Revenue was VND1.07 trillion, down 32 percent year-on-year to the lowest since the company merged three subsidiaries to form Mai Linh Group in 2018. Taxi operations, its main focus, accounted for 72 percent of revenues, down from 2019's 82 percent. The rest came from maintenance services, vehicle rental and advertisement. Its board said the losses were "inevitable" due to the the economic downturn and low customer demand last year due to Covid-19. It was also concerned that high fuel prices and disrupted global supply would further haunt the business. But it is expected to return to the black this year thanks to initial signs of recovery. It eyes post-tax profits of VND38 billion on revenues of VND1.67 trillion for 2022. … [Read more...] about Taxi firm Mai Linh remains in the red
