She held that the international community should give high priority to ensuring compliance with international law and the UN Charter. She also underlined the role of multilateralism and multilateral mechanisms with the UN at their center. (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) has called for the implementation of an industrial environmental index in Vietnam, according to Le Thanh Quan, head of MPI's department of economic zone management. Quan said the establishment of environmental standards in more than 400 industrial parks and 18 economic zones across the country was to play a significant role in resolving environmental issues, reducing waste and achieving sustainable development. The MPI had been gathering data and feedback in preparation to set up Vietnam's industrial environmental standards. Son La's mangoes and longans are being sold in Big C Thang Long supermarket, Ha Noi. — VNS Photo Mai Huong Mangoes and safe agricultural products from Son La Province are being introduced at Big C Thang Long supermarket in Ha Noi. The week-long event, organised by Son La Provincial People’s Committee in collaboration with Central Retail Vietnam, is an effort to promote high-quality provincial products to the capital city’s consumers. The event has attracted 15 businesses and cooperatives, introducing both fresh fruits and vegetables such as mango, longan, avocado, guava, banana, Moc Chau pumpkin, cabbage and zucchini to processed foods.
