General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum is built on an area of 650sq.m at 144, Dang Thai Than Street, Thuan Hoa ward, Hue City. The museum displays around 400 documents, artifacts and photos briefing the life and revolutionary career of General Nguyen Chi Thanh and his contribution to Thua Thien Hue’s revolution in particular and to the resistance war for national independence and freedom and socialism building in the North in general. The displayed documents, artifacts and photos are divided into themes, namely hometown, families, revolutionary career, General Nguyen Chi Thanh’s important milestones, and gratitude of his families, hometown and nation to the late General. Hanoi seeks to develop night economy
With the recent inauguration of many pedestrian streets, themed spaces, and night tours, authorities in Hanoi hope to give the city’s night economy a major boost. Every evening at about 7:00 pm, Hanoi’s Old Quarter begins to bustle with tourists rushing between shops, food stalls, and entertainment venues. The Old Quarter’s evening rush holds such a footing in Hanoian culture that nicknames have even been given to certain areas. The intersection of Ta Hien and Luong Ngoc Quyen Streets, for example, is affectionately called 'International Intersection' while Ta Hien Street is known as 'Beer Street,' Gam Cau Street is known as 'BBQ Street,' To Lich street is called 'Mixed Fruit Street,' and Tong Duy Tan Street is dubbed 'Food Street.' HCM City’s CPI picks up 0.91% in June

(Photo: VNA) HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City ’s Consumer Price Index ( CPI ) edged up 0.91 percent in June , with nine out of 11 groups of goods and services recording an increase in prices, the municipal Statistics Office reported. Prices of transport services soared 3.89%, largely due to a 7.18% spike in petrol prices after they were revised up three times in June. Those of gas and other energy products, meanwhile, declined 6.09%, the office said. Prices of food and dining services picked up 1.05% during the month. Those of rice, a major component of food, grew 0.57% on the back of low supply as the Winter-Spring harvest nears end. Prices of foodstuff surged 1.27% last month, with the growth seen in various products, such as fresh, dried and processed vegetables (4.47%), eggs (2.59%), confectionery (1.65%), poultry meat (1.58%), and fresh and processed fruits (1.54%).
