A representative from Noi Bai said crew members of four planes reported the presence of kites and lanterns in the sky above the tarmac on September 23. Police later verified that people were throwing a Mid-Autumn Festival party in Thanh Xuan Commune, Soc Son District, a neighborhood that borders the airport to the west. Lanterns were released into the sky as part of the party, police said. Meanwhile, to the east of the runway in the capital’s Xuan Non Commune, Dong Anh District, some children were flying kites, police added. VinFast reports $387.8 million loss in Q2, amid improved revenues
VinFast has announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2023. Accordingly, the company posted a total revenue of $334.1 million in the second quarter of 2023, representing an increase of 131.2 per cent from the second quarter of 2022 and an increase of 303.3 per cent from the first quarter of 2023. Meanwhile, its vehicle sales were $314.6 million, representing an increase of 147 per cent from the second quarter of 2022 and an increase of 387.3 per cent from the first quarter of 2023. The increase in vehicle sales over the second quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023 was mainly due to a significant increase in EV sales volume in Vietnam in the second quarter. The bond lot is a non-convertible bond, with a term of five years, without warrants, with an expected interest rate of 9.6 per cent per year.
