Health authorities in Ho Chi Minh City will launch a trial of treating people with mild to moderate depression without using medication, with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO), the municipal Department of Health has announced. The WHO Office in Vietnam has introduced the model of community-based depression treatment without drugs as part of a program that supports the city’s health authorities to implement the WHO Package of Essential Noncommunicable (WHO PEN) Disease Interventions, Prof. Dr. Tang Chi Thuong, director of the health department, said on Thursday. Half of coronavirus cases in Vietnam recover
To be considered healthy, Covid-19 patients need to test negative for the virus three consecutive times and go through quarantine for two weeks. As of April 7 evening, Vietnam has confirmed 249 people infected with SARS-CoV-2 and nearly half of them have fully recovered and been discharged from hospital, according to the Ministry of Health.
