Tra fish exports to Russia slump Export revenue of tra fish to the Russian market in the first 10 months of this year fell 31 percent compared to last year to 12.5 million USD, reported the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP). According to the association, the sharp drop followed last year’s declining trend, and was likely to continue for the rest of 2019. VASEP said that in the last two years, Russia’s tra fish consumption has been modest, with unstable import prices. Meanwhile, the European country’s imports of frozen tra fish fillets have increased slightly by 3 percent, but that of frozen whole fish have fallen 29 percent./. Now they are doing it again, and on two nights this time. These special events will take place at the Saigon Opera House on Friday and Saturday, December 27-28, beginning at 8 p.m. Once again the conductor will be Le Phi Phi, who last time appeared in a T-shirt and ended up singing along to some of the items. Vietnam’s 49th UPU International Letter Writing Contest Launched
Entries of no more than 800 words can be sent to the Tien Phong Newspaper at 5 Hoa Ma Street in Ha Noi. Speaking at the launching ceremony at Thanh Cong Secondary School in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Anh Tuan said that the contest aims at raising young people’s awareness of the important role postal services in our societies, and social issues and their thoughts about these problems. It additionally helps foster an appreciation for the art of letter-writing. The contest in Viet Nam is organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee, Vietnam Writers' Association, Vietnam Post Corporation and the Tien Phong Newspaper.
