Tet gifts have recently been sent to disadvantaged people at a remote village in Lao Cai Province via the Tet Charity Programme. The Humanitarian Television (Nhandaovtv), Lao Cai Red Cross Organisation, and Si Ma Cai District People's Committee held the Tet Charity Programme for the people in Sin Cheng Commune. This is the third year the programme was held by Nhandaovtv. Si Ma Cai is one of 62 poorest districts in Vietnam. 80% of the residents are from ethnic minority groups. Various activities were held including free health check-ups and medicines. The organisers also give 500 gifts to poorest households and clothes to children. Campfires, a Chung cake-making contest and music shows were held with participation from the locals to celebrate Tet. The fund for the programme is about VND2bn (USD86). Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Hospital, Military Bank, Vietjet Air and other sponsors have accompanied the organisers to make the programme a success. Czech parliamentarian believes CPV to lead Vietnam to new successes
Prague (VNA) – The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) will lead Vietnam to new successes, with the successful organisation of the 13th National Party Congress and the approval of orientations for a new period, said Leo Luzar, President of the Czech Republic-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group. Talking to Vietnam News Agency correspondents in Prague, Luzar, who is a member of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM), said that the CPV’s 13th congress is a big event drawing attention of the Czech Republic in general and the KSČM in particular.
