The rice output is expected to reduce by approximately 871,000 tonnes, a decrease of 3.27%, to 25.8 million tonnes. Deputy Secretary-General of the Agricultural Economics Department, Tantita Bunyamaneekul, reported a reduction in the country’s rice cultivation area for the 2023-24 crop year, which totalled 62.4 million rai (9.98 million ha). Among these passengers, the number of international travellers hit 23.7 million, representing an extraordinary growth rate of 267 per cent compared to the same period in 2022. Domestic passengers amounted to 65.2 million, marking a modest decrease of 4 per cent over the same period last year. Between January and September, Vietnamese airlines carried 44.1 million people, a year-on-year increase of 20.3 per cent. Of the total, there were 11.5 million international passengers, up 300 per cent from 2022. VinFast reports $387.8 million loss in Q2, amid improved revenues
VinFast has announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2023. Accordingly, the company posted a total revenue of $334.1 million in the second quarter of 2023, representing an increase of 131.2 per cent from the second quarter of 2022 and an increase of 303.3 per cent from the first quarter of 2023. Meanwhile, its vehicle sales were $314.6 million, representing an increase of 147 per cent from the second quarter of 2022 and an increase of 387.3 per cent from the first quarter of 2023. The increase in vehicle sales over the second quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023 was mainly due to a significant increase in EV sales volume in Vietnam in the second quarter. The bond lot is a non-convertible bond, with a term of five years, without warrants, with an expected interest rate of 9.6 per cent per year.
