The “Together with farmers protecting the environment” program helps raise farmers’ awareness of the importance of environmental protection The southeastern region is leading the country in solid waste collection rate and treatment technology. In Dong Nai Province, for example, about 1,838 tonnes of domestic solid waste - 98 percent of the total - is collected and treated daily. This is the highest rate in the country, while only 43 percent of domestic solid waste is buried, reaching the lowest rate in the country.
