The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) have proposed quickening the pace of construction of Tho Xuan Airport Terminal 2 in the northern central province of Thanh Hoa. The Thanh Hoa provincial project would cost some VND2.12 trillion to expand Tho Xuan Airport in the 2022-2025 period, including Terminal 2’s construction. Once completed, Terminal 2 could serve five million passengers a year. Tho Xuan Airport The airport’s Terminal 1 is expected to surpass its design capacity of 1.2 million passengers per year by the end of this year. The expansion plans are also part of the national airport development planning for 2021-2030 submitted by the Ministry of Transport to the government. However, the planning has not yet been approved. Road connecting Vinh Phuc and Hanoi approved
A VND1.21 trillion (USD52.15 million) road which links Hanoi and the northern province of Vinh Phuc has been approved. The project across the Red River starts from Trung Ha Commune in Vinh Phuc’s Yen Lac District and ends at Van Phuc Bridge in Hanoi’s Phuc Tho District. The project’s investment will be from Vinh Phuc’s budget. Work on the project will be carried out in the 2023-2026 period. Vietnamese citizens offer support to Russian man with broken thighbone
Many Vietnamese people have donated money to a 39-year-old Russian man in south-central Khanh Hoa Province who is unable to afford the surgery for his femoral neck fracture. Roman Borodachev, 39, a Russian national living in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, suffered a femoral neck fracture after a fall about two months ago but could not afford a surgery due to unstable income and the lack of health insurance. Anna Los, another Russian citizen in Nha Trang, sent a letter to Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on Friday to seek help for Borodachev. According to Los, Borodachev fell on the bathroom floor and broke his hip on June 12. The Russian man was then taken to the hospital, with doctors concluding that he would need to undergo a surgery.
