Sixty prominent young people from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia gathered in Hanoi on December 8 to begin a four-day conference that aims to seek stronger affiliation and greater role for youths in consolidating solidarity among the three countries. Speaking at the opening ceremony, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) Nguyen Dac Vinh, highlighted the traditional friendship among the three Southeast Asian neighbouring countries, and called on the young generations to be aware of inheriting and further developing it. th Vietnam-Cambodia youth friendship camp ended in Preah Sihanouk city, Cambodia on Friday. During the event, themed "Vietnamese and Cambodian youths strengthen solidarity, friendship for peace, cooperation, and development", both countries' delegates exchanged information and experience on youth activities in their localities. Young entrepreneurs discussed the market to find ways for bilateral cooperation. Pink Holiday hands over 5 classrooms to Cambodia
Vietnam’s Youth Union members Thursday handed over five friendship classrooms to the Sala Balat primary school in Battambang, Cambodia, as part of their Pink Holiday volunteer campaign. The VND840 million (US$40,320) classrooms, named "Vietnam – Cambodia Youth", were granted during a ceremony attended by Huynh Nguyen Loc, a member of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Youth Union Standing Committee, at the primary school.
