The construction of the road, which would connect Ke Ga and Mui Ne resort town, was announced on Monday. The road would begin at Bac Binh District and end at Ham Thuan Nam District. The coastline of Phan Thiet of Binh Thuan Province is currently segmented by estuaries, neighborhoods and tourism projects. The future coastal road would see more roads and bridges built for connectivity as well. Binh Thuan authorities would not approve for new construction projects on the coast in Phan Thiet to keep its beaches more accessible to locals and tourists. Defense leader inspects units in Con Dao district island
Accordingly, the delegation paid tours to the Con Dao Border Post of the provincial Border Guard Command, Flotilla 33 of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command, and worked with the Coast Guard Region 3 Command. During the visit, the delegation inspected crime prevention and combat; prevention and control of human trafficking, smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeiting; and law dissemination work, among others. The entertaining exhibition invites visitors to enter a space of immersive light projections and follow in the footsteps of the Seven Sisters on their journey across Australia's western and central deserts. Devoted doctor Alexandre Yersin 's workplace in Khanh Hoa wins national recognition Khanh Hoa (VNA) – The house where Alexandre Yersin, a Swiss-born doctor and bacteriologist, lived in and worked in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa has been included in the cluster of national historical relic sites dedicated to him. Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung issued Decision No. 699/QD-BVHTTDL on the recognition of the house on Hon Ba Mount in Suoi Cat commune, Cam Lam district. Yersin (1863-1943) studied medicine in France, and then became a bacteriologist and an adventurer. He arrived in Khanh Hoa’s Nha Trang city in 1891 to work and lived there until his passing. The doctor founded the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute in 1895, the Hanoi Pasteur Institute in 1926, and the Da Lat Pasteur Institute in 1936. Quang Nam beaches severely eroded
Some beaches in the central province of Quang Nam are struggling with serious erosion. Around two kilometres of Cua Lo Beach in Nui Thanh District’s Tam Hai Commune have been eroded, damaging the local protective forest as well as shrimp breeding farms. The problem has been occurring at the beach for more than five years. According to local residents, the erosion is mostly attributed to high tides and strong current. Many households have relocated their shrimp breeding farms. The situation is threatening more than 100 households in Binh Trung. Cua Lo area is being dredged by a company which has planned to build a dyke to consolidate the beach. Meanwhile, the beach in Duy Hai Commune in Duy Xuyen District is in the same situation. Nguyen Van Thong, chairman of Duy Hai Commune, said that the 2.5-kilometre erosion has affected 380 households with more than 1,000 people. The locality has proposed building a dyke. Vietnam steps up vigilance against deadly Marburg
There is currently no vaccine or specific treatment for Marburg virus disease. Vietnam's Ministry of Health (MoH) has urged all localities nationwide to strengthen supervision and step up preventive measures to control the possible spread of the deadly Marburg virus disease. Marburg virus disease is rare but severe hemorrhagic fever which affects both people and non-human primates with a fatality rate of up to 88%, the ministry said in a dispatch to localities across the country, adding that it belongs to the same family as the virus that causes Ebola. Human infection with Marburg virus disease initially results from prolonged exposure to mines or caves inhabited by Rousettus aegyptiacus bat colonies, the MoH said.
